I too use a set of cheater clear sagety glasses 1.50 both eyes and everything is alot clear up and close, but I like to weld with contacts in.I remember people used to say if you weld with contacts your going to fuse the contacts to your retina and did not know if this was true so I always wore glasses until one day I forgot that I had contacts in, started welding and when I finished the peice they were a bit dry that is all because I don't blink alot.

Well I have had the helmet for a while now and finally got to use it....I am very pleased with the helmet, fits comfortably, I think I have room for cheaters but I didn't try. Controls are easy to operate and pretty well laid out. I need to experiment with it some more and I will give a better review. Best price I found was 350.00 delivered so I am pleased with my 160.00 purchase. Now keep in mind the only other helmets I have to compare it to are the cheap kind you would receive with a welder or about 10.00 new or so. Basically I have driven yugo's all my life and now I have a ford....of course I feel it is a step up!!!!!

    Gadget:
I feel the pain too. To solve the problem, I just keep buying more drugstore glasses and leave them sitting around everywhere. I have at least 8 pairs now. Even one in the bathroom for those important jobs ( - - shaving).
