I don't know if I have any purchase information. It came with a Tigweld 200 I bought on September special off Pirate4x4 last year. Here in Illinois, sun is a scarce commodity! I can put it under a lamp to try to recharge it though. Think that will work? Thanks for the reply!

I don't know if I do or not. We switched from Comtheft to ATT for our internet within the last year so I don't have any old emails. Perhaps I still have something in my Pirate PMs.

Now that is something I can provide if its of any help. It was sunny today so I threw the helmet outside and it should get a solid 4-5hrs of sun. I'll bring two helmets to class tonight in case it isn't enough to get the thing working. I'm skeptical but hopefull at the same time. I'll weld with it close by if I wear the Jackson tonight too in hopes it may charge more quickly being exposed to the arc.

it should be charging as you weld as the weld puddle is as bright as the sun is
i am assuming since it does not have a battery it has a capacitor is charges or something

Sometimes when mine gets cantankerous and doesn't want to shade right when I KNOW it has been exposed enough to be charged I take it apart and clean it. Sometimes that HELPS TREMENDOUSLY... Lot of times not only the way it performs but in terms of visibility as well. Those things get a lot dirtier than you would think under that protective cover lens.
