I lurked on that site, as well as many others. I saw some extreme negative statements about anything not made in the usa being either crap, or making you unamerican for buying it. I did my own research, and after seeing what people thought of Longevity that actually used the machines is what made me buy Longevity with no regrets.

You have got people like this on just about any site you get on.The motorcycle sites I go to have the same people on there.Harley is not worth a crap,Jap bikes suck,my bike is better than your's.When all of them are fun to ride, and all of them are good in there own way.I would love to have welders like SICfabrications has,but I don't weld for a paycheck,so I will get the best one out there that I can buy that does the job I need it for. That's what brought me here. And I do not care what other people say about the products I use.To each his own.

Most of the "grumps" just have not realized that most of the internals of big blue and red are made overseas, the biggest issue with most of the USA made guys is service. BUT, if you need something from a local dealer you probably gonna wait anyway unless its something like a feed roller or a liner. Most electronics will either work...or croak in the first couple months if they last after that they will usually run forever.....IMO

Its the same names spouting caustic comments at anyone who owns a longevity machine. Sandownhill.

Its not just thats a crappy machine, its "thats a crappy machine and you're stupid for buying it too."

Whether longevity realizes it or not, its definately costing you sales.
In the thread above 2 or 3 buyers have been turned off.

You might be right about loosing some sales, but it's probably made a few too.

That's where I found out about Longevity. I had never heard of it before. I read the posts and was amazed at how cyber-violent some of the posts were. But I was impressed with how professionally Simon handled or ignored the jerks. I remember Gadget taking a lot of flack too. The people who actually owned or used the products were very loyal. Longevity seemed really concerned about any product issues and actual did stuff about it. So I watched the battle rage for almost two years. I figured it the product was as the cyber-turkeys claimed, the company would dry up and disappear. But it didn't and every time I went to the site, I would check the Longevity part and it would still be there. New products, happy customers, problems being resolved, same old flamers. That gave me the confidence to try the product out.
Weldall 200PI, Longevity Pro auto-darkening hemet, HF 120amp stick welder (retired), Quincy 60 gallon 5hp air compressor, Iron Mike power hack saw, HF 42144 3-in-1 , 20 ton press, and a screw driver but I'm not sure where I left it...
