    Automatic Logout...

Is there a way the system could be tweeked a little in order to prevent me from being logged automatically so quick? I am not sure how many minutes the auto-logout is set for but I know I have typed some replies to some posts and by the time I get them typed and submit reply it tells me I'm not logged in and must log in and several times the replies I have typed are lost. Most of the time I can remember what I was saying and sign in to type the reply again and hope to win the race against the clock to get it to post, but there are also times that my CRS (can't remember stuff) syndrome kicks in and I can't even remember what I was talkin aboutGreenSmoking

If it is possible to tweek it a little I would appreciate it. If there is some kind of setting on my end in my user CP that will fix it I would appreciate someone telling me how. I don't think it is something I can adjust but if it is I will gladly do it. I like to stay logged in.

I don't think that it is the website. I think that your computer has a problem. Check your sleep setting on your system. I have mine set to 10 min. and have not had a problem. If I leave the computer for a while, and have the INTERNET active I hit the refresh button before typing anything.

I'll try the remember me thing. The hitting the refresh button thing don't work because it says I'm not logged in. I'll try to remember me thing and see if that helps.

If you don't click on Remember Me you will have to log in every time. There may be a max time for a visitor.

The remember me thing is working so far. It hasn't logged me out in over an hour and half so far. Glad to have it worked out.

glad to be back too! it has been a long summer. We started classes monday so I have a new crop of students and I don't know if they or myself is itching the most to start welding, but alas, we have to go through about 25 or 30 hours of "orientation and careers and ffa" and then "SAFETY (which I stress as the MOST important housekeeping thing we do before I let them in the shop). Today we continued studying the history of agriculture in America and then for the last half of the class I gave them a crash course in hedge trimmer safety and let them help trim the bushes around campus. They worked like mules. I can already tell that this is going to be a good bunch because if they put half the effort in our shop projects as they did working in the greenhouse and trimming hedges today then we will have a very productive year in shop... Hopefully I will have many pics to upload for you guys.

being an instructor sounds fun! when I took my cert class, the instructor was crazy hard and it really made all of us work and realize exactly how much work and obsessive attention to detail is needed to be a good welder. So I have a lot of respect for welding instructors

also, glad you got the logging in to work...some times it logs me out within minutes too. even with my websites it happens, for some reason the servers mySQL database glitches and it logs all users out
