    Member List

I just looked at the member list and it is a pure mess. I could tell a good portion of the usernames there were phony, aka spammers... Is there any way we could "purge" the rolls of usernames that are without question spammers? I mean like "BuyCheapCialis" I know good and damn well that ain't no real person... Would be nice if we could clean it up a bit that way it would be easier to look folks up that are actual users and not just drive by posting spammers. I know full well that there is no way that there are over 51 pages of actual users... I know several of us regular users have alternate login id's that were created a year or so ago during the "big hack" when the site went down for a while and those could either stay or go, really don't matter to me. I had forgotten all about the alt. id until WeldingWookie "welcomed" me to the forum the other day... LOL

If you can, you can... If ya can't ya just can't... But I thought it would be worth a try anyway.

I sent it to Simon to see what he thinks. Someone will be spending a few weeks checking and cleaning if we do this though, no easy way to get through 55 pages of names.
I just spent a good chunk of yesterday moving unrelated posts out of the forum suggestion section and that was only 5 pages of posts.

We have banned the inappropriate members so they are not posting spam. Aside from that, we will not be going over each member and deleting them as it is a waste of time. Our active users are the members we concentrate on.
