Nah, I wasn't stealing any piggies or steers or lambs BUT I did spend quite a bit of time around the grill cooking with the other ag teacher for all the kiddos and their parents. No livestock show is complete without being able to taste a sampling of the the critters being exhibited. :P

My grandmother still lives right behind the local ag center / horse track down south... (And I do mean, RIGHT behind. Chain link between her garden and where they kept the 4g prize animals...)

For a very long time I used to point out to my grandfather that we were only a pair of wire cutters away from a helluva cook out...

We got caught scheming one day, and I blamed it on him teaching me to snare and trap when I was 8. Just a logical progression... "They're already caught.... "

Cooker's looking really good Blues. You ought to see if you can steal the lighted skull Insanity made way back when to mount on standoffs on the lid.

How close to breaking out the inflatable kids pool full of refreshments and hog rifles are we?
Full hand tool assortment, collecting sheet metal hammers/dollies, more time than money.

Hopefully not far off from the kid's pool full of refreshments at all!!! Finances for the rest of what I need to finish and TIME are my biggest enemies. Considering that I only have a couple of hours a day to do shop work and does not help at all. All the work is being done at my job since I don't have shop facilities at my home. Hopefully, that will change soon. I just got a request to build a fire-pit or fire ring for a guy around here and that is going to be a nice paying job for a change. Not much compared to the jobs some of you other guys manage to get but considering I've only been selling a piece of small art or decor or making repairs for folks, it is going to be big job for me for sure.

Man wants me to make a largemouth bass jumping out of the water scene for him on two sides of the pit. I'm trying to work out a design and figure out how exactly I'm going to do it. I'm not CNC capable so all my stuff is freehand cut so it takes a little more time, patience, steady hand, and effort on my part to do what I do with plasma cutter and torch. He asked me about how much I thought it would cost him and I haven't given an answer yet cause I wanted to make sure of what I was going to be doing and how much effort, work and materials would cost me. I'm thinking about 350-400 though... I know it will be worth every bit of that when I'm finished, but at the same time I don't want to price myself out of a job either cause I need the sale. Those funds will go a long way on the smoker build supplies!

Decent jigsaw / rotozip / cutting wheel work. Depending on the pattern, there probably won't be many large areas you'd have the leeway to rough cut with plasma.

You could always cut them on flat sheet to try the plasma and if they turn out well roll them to match, weld in, and finish. ^_^

Somewhere on here there's a bass jumping out of the water on a boat someone did for a customer on their CNC Plasma. I'll see if I can find it so you can get an idea on the pattern / execution.

Here's one I did by CNC but you could trace the DXF file onto the metal and make one like it.
