In 1885, Nikolai Benardos and Stanislav Olszewski were granted a patent for an electric arc welder with a carbon electrode called the Electrogefest. Nikolai Benardos (Russia) and Stanislav Olszewski (Poland) are considered the inventors of modern Welding apparatus.

In 2004, Longevity introduced small portable inverter Plasma Cutters, welders and never before seen combination plasma cutting/welding machines that have taken the industry by storm. Our plasma cutters and welders were not only lighter in weight, less than the size of a microwave, but also more powerful than the competition offered at fraction of the price. Longevity made welding equipment affordable to all and quickly became one of the biggest imported welder companies in the United States. Longevity is an owner operated company that realizes the importance of customer satisfaction and the production of top quality products.

Within a few years, Longevity has built a strong customer support because our goal was to give back to our customers. Longevity launched www.freeweldingforum.com, which allowed constant communication between customers and dealers and also rewarded participants with free welding equipment, cash prizes, and recognition for their projects and support!

Although Longevity faced controversy from loyal major brand supporters, people began to respect us for the service we offered, quality of our products and the fact that our affordable priced equipment provided opportunities to individuals that could not afford or justify spending up to 8 times the amount for leading brand welding equipment. Today, Longevity is still a small company in comparison to the leading brands, but our promise to last is not only our slogan, but also a guarantee with the best warranty in the industry.

In 2008, Longevity was recognized by www.business.com and www.weldingweb.com as an alternative supplier to the welding industry. In fact, we are continuously impacting the industry by offering a pricing structure and quality that has never been achieved by competitors!

In 2009, Longevity offered new and improved welding technology with the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) versus the Metal Oxide Semi-conductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET). Currently, Longevity Welding Equipment will contain both Mosfet and IGBT technology with the same unmatched warranty of 5 years.

Our goal for the future is to continue offering customers with excellent customer service and top quality welding equipment. We aim to have the latest technology without breaking the welding population’s pockets. We realize our customers are the individuals responsible for our success and our goal is to continue giving back as appreciation! Together with our strong customer base, we will revolutionize the welding industry.
